MEDNOVO’s key topic “IT meets medical engineering – effective and integrated process optimisation” at the Entscheiderfabrik – a summary

Within thescope of the “Entscheiderfabrik” on February 10 and 11, 2010, MEDNOVO’s topic of proving efficiency due to the integration of IT and medical engineering was selected one of the 5 IT key topics out of numerous presentations. The hospital Diakonissen Mutterhaus Rotenburg/Wümme, a team of consultants and experts of MEDNOVO will prepare the topic together.

“We are happy that our topic has been selected, this underlines the importance of our company focus on medical engineering meets IT for hospitals in Germany” – says Mr. Heinlein, Managing Director of MEDNOVO GmbH. “The ‘Entscheiderfabrik’ serves as an ideal platform for the positioning of important subjects. The workgroups deliver a ‘proof of concepts’ and suggestions for further product development.“

MEDNOVO and its team has worked together on the IT key topic “process optimisation” in a solution-oriented way for several months already. On the occasion of the Entscheiderfabrik’s summer camp in June this year, the working partners had an intense exchange of their first results.

After the initial analysis the project is now in phase 2: implementation of the electronical requirement management at the Diakonissen Mutterhaus Rotenburg/Wümme. Together with all parties involved, MEDNOVO will present the status quo at the annual GMDS meeting.

The final analysis and comparison in relation to the initial situation are supposed to point out the saving potential as a result of the integration of  IT and medical engineering. These results will then be presented at the Medica in November.
