MediAnes is an online anaesthesia documentation system developed by MEDNOVO for usage in hospitals. It provides a comprehensive documentation of the whole surgery anaesthesia course. All accrued data and procedures associated with anaesthesia can be documented. That means starting by documentation of walk-in anaesthesia and pre medication through to course of anaesthesia (initiation, surgery and conclusion) up to post surgery documentation all steps are included.
So, on the one hand MediAnes is user-friendly and affords a gain of time, e.g. it supports a reduction of changeover time of operation theatre. On the other hand it affords quality assurance and auditing acceptability.

Moreover the system includes an overview of all patients who are registered for anaesthesia.
For intra-hospital data synchronisation MediAnes includes a HL7 interface for digital connections to the following systems

• Hospital information system (e.g. patient data, performances, diagnostics)
• surgery documentation (e.g. transection suture time)
• materials logistics data (material consumption)
• EPR/Archive (medical report, anaesthesia course protocol (with digital signature)).

Therefore redundant data between different systems are excluded and there is no need to collect data per system by hand.

Documentation with MediAnes includes the following parts:
